Special Units

Block Builder

The center was established in 2005, targeting some goals.

Mission

The center seeks to achieve the faculty’s and university’s mission in the field of community services and environmental development by offering scientific consulting in all specializations.  Moreover, the center conducts research, analysis, and scientific measurements, testing natural ores, and artificial and chemical materials and analyzing them. It organizes training workshops for members and authorities that are connected to the unit’s activities in the Canal and Sinai region, especially the Arab Republic of Egypt and Arab countries.

Vision

The center targets to be a center of excellence for Canal and  Sinai countries in particular and the Arab Republic of Egypt in general.

Center’s goals:

1. To offer scientific consultants in all scientific departments, for members and authorities, for example:

  • To measure marine environment sources of pollution.
  • To measure the working environment in factories.
  • To evaluate the environmental effects on projects.
  • To study digging groundwater wells.

2-To do some scientific analyses and measurements for members and authorities, such as:

  • To analyze rocks and water samples.
  • To measure “Carbon- Nitrogen- Hydrogen” in organic materials.

3-To support different authorities with expertise, as to give pieces of advice in scientific fields.

4-To organize specialized training workshops in different fields requested by authorities and members. This will have a great return on the community and environment.

5-To cooperate with different local and foreign scientific authorities in faculty specialization.

6-To conduct research in different scientific fields.

7-To prepare some of the scientific tools to serve students and researchers “biological slides”.

8-To support the students with quick copying service, at a low cost for students and Academic staff members.

Mission

The center seeks to reach a unique regional and global position, as to contribute to enriching research and application environmental sciences fields. Moreover, it supports the country’s sustainable development plan to promote Canal and Sinai region.

Vision

The center participates in preparing qualified cadres scientifically and technically in fields of research and application of environmental sciences. It also organizes scientific training for students in the field of research and application of environmental sciences. It works on organizing conferences, symposiums, and workshops, related to research and application of environmental sciences, locally, regionally, and internationally. Besides, it keeps pace with scientific development in environmental and applied sciences.

Goals

  • Encouraging research process, through supporting and encouraging researchers in Suez Canal University,  other universities, and scientific research centers in environmental sciences fields, through providing (residence- ration- transportation- laboratory, and field preparations).
  • Supporting students’ activities, by assisting university and school students (field training- civil visits- samples collection- data analysis).
  • Supporting community service by spreading environmental and cultural awareness and contributing to solving problems facing Sinai society organizations (environmental convoys- cultural symposiums- scientific pamphlets- training workshops).
  • Supporting scientific activities by organizing and doing scientific conferences and symposiums, and training workshops in different environmental and scientific fields.
  • Participating in fields of scientific consulting, through scientific cadres specialized in environmental sciences fields that represent the centers of excellence inside the university.
  • Reference service role: establishing a natural and geological historical museum, to be a scientific reference for researchers, students, and members interested in the Sinai region.
