The Faculty of Science is one of the first faculties established at Suez Canal University (SCU). The origin of the faculty is linked to the establishment of the university in 1976, as it was the beginning of the idea of cohesion in society and the study of the environment surrounding the Canal region and Sinai. It aims to graduate generations who are able to solve the societal problems, which is one of the faculty’s comparative advantages that makes the Faculty of Science unique. Therefore, the faculty has always been distinguished for its leadership and achievements which make those who belong to it proud. The faculty exerted tremendous efforts in the fields of scientific publishing, research projects, and quality and accreditation. The faculty is in a constant pursuit of applying the latest educational systems, and applying regulations and laws to the fullest, with the full conviction of all its members of the necessity of periodically reviewing all the educational and research activities that take place on the faculty.
The Faculty of Science at SCU is considered to be the best choice for those who seek an integrated dynamic program and growing intellectual knowledge, for it has a large collection of various educational programs and scientific researches and projects. In addition to its laboratories, classes and research potentials. All of these factors represent the genuine desire of the faculty to follow the modern approaches in all its academic programs. Moreover, the faculty is keen on qualifying its students to compete in the labor market. The faculty maintained its role in community service and environmental development through its participation in the various university projects that target human and community development. In conclusion, the faculty affirms its unwavering commitment to the quality of teaching, scientific research and community service to consolidate its firm mission in preparing distinguished graduates who will contribute to the progress of Egyptian society in positive and effective ways.
