About Department

Vision

The department looks forward to graduating scientific students specializing in the various fields of Marine Science. We manage to keep up with the development by focusing on preparing graduates who will serve civil societies related to sustainable development in the Canal Region, Sinai, and both seas Mediterranean and Red Sea.

Mission

The department aims to prepare scientific graduates and researchers with experience and skills in the fields of the marine environment, fisheries, navigation, maritime transport, and others, which helps to meet the necessary needs and requirements of the labor market in marine science fields and marine biotechnology it also interacts with community institutions and provide scientific advice to all parties.

  2. 12 credit hours (elective), chosen from faculty’s other majors, which serve students’ majors (Geology- Zoology- Botany- Applied Geo physics- Marine biology- Marine sciences- Microbiology). They’re divided equally on both semesters (6 hours+ 6 hours)
  • Majors’ requirements: 108 credit hours, divided as follows, on 3rd’, 4th, and 5th levels:
  1. 72 credit hours (obligatory)
